My top tips for growing Jade Vines in a subtropical climate. After failing at the first attempt, this is what I’ve found works. #jadevine #strongolodonmacrobotrys #subtropicalgardening #brisbanegardens #gardeningaustralia Some more Jade Vine spam #sorrynotsorry. More of a blue than a ‘Jade’ colour in the light at dusk. 💙 Lots more flowers coming! #strongolodonmacrobotrys #jadevine #brisbanegardens #exoticflowers Saturday night pizza - my very ‘rustic’, one-handed video of the pizza making process (some steps not shown in video… quite a few, actually!) 😂🍕 #pizza #pizzaislife #pizzatime #neapolitan #pizzalovers If you haven’t killed a whole heap of plants yet, are you even gardening? 😭😂 #gardener #gardenlife #plants #tropicalgarden #plantsofinstagram Spotted in our garden: how pretty is this little Cotton Harlequin Bug?! 😍 With metallic blue and red that changes colour slightly depending on the angle 🐞🪲 ‘Off the Richter’ - flourishing, fabulous, and flamboyant! 🌈😁 @shanothehorto @upthevalleypath #cordyline #colourful #gardeningaustralia #brisbanegardens #queensland I haven’t been out to the movies for several years - since our daughter was born, actually! 🍿🎥 So I was very lucky to have some ‘me time’ last night (after baby bedtime). I went out to see a Tamil film titled ‘G.D.N’, featuring my old man @carlandrewharte. It’s a fantastic movie full of rich storytelling about the inventor & entrepreneur G.D. Naidu - often described as ‘India’s Edison’. Dad plays the villainous British Commissioner of Income Tax, Henry Adams. Well done dad, this is without a doubt some of your best acting yet! 👏🎭 And those lines spoken in Tamil are on-point! 🙌 #aussieactor #bollywood #tollywood #kollywood #GDNaidu Cordyline ‘Peggy Garland’ lighting up in the morning sun 😍#peggygarland #cordyline #gardeningaustralia #inspiredbynature_ #morningvibes☀️ I grew this plant with a cutting from our neighbour’s croton, so have no idea what cultivar it is, but it’s a beauty 😍 (Croton cultivars can be difficult to identify, being quite variable under different growing conditions). It’s hard to think of a more colourful plant, probably only rivaled by cordylines in our garden for vibrant foliage colour 🌈 If you know the name of this cultivar, please let me know! 🌱🪴#croton #tropicalfoliage #gardencolour #rainbow #plantsmakemehappy
